The Queen has had a revelation! This will be the first part of a series that will celebrate brands and influencers who include women of all shapes and sizes. As of late, I have realized that now, more than ever, the time to change women's opinions about their body image upon us. There are so many brands and influencers that are celebrating women's shapes of all sizes and designing clothes to fit sizes 0 - 30 and it is wonderful! There are, however, still a good amount of designers in the industry that refuse to allow anyone who isn't under 110 lbs join in on the fun of fashion to be had. Tanya Taylor, one of my favorite designers skilled at making fun, brightly printed, yet cutting edge pieces is now selling extended sizes in her collection. Premme.us is a new online retailer by two genius influencers who are designing edgy clothes in an accomodating size range. The 12ish Style founder, Katie Sturino designed a line with Eloquii that screams chic and unique. People are starting to catch on and finally women of all shapes and sizes can feel included. TBH I am of a plus size shape, teetering on being able to fit it to "normal" (hate that word so much) sizes and then having to go into the separate section of extended sized clothes to get a size 14 dress that will fit over my huge ass boobs and puffy tummy. All I am asking is that we treat sizing equally and change the way we look at plus sized clothing. Women should not feel bad about themselves and feel left out of wearing something so chic and beautiful just because they do not fit into the cookie cutter sizes 0-8. Young, old, size 2, size 18 all women should be able to wear anything they want proudly and not feel ashamed or lesser because they had to buy it in a different section, or they are not included in the fun, daring outfits of a certain designer. I guess its a #fomo thing for me. There is a market for it, women will buy it, start making a wider range of sizes people! And lets support the designers who have jumped on this train to change the way women view their healthy bodies!!!Also - I have included my favorite supporter of women of all shapes and sizes, Ashley Longshore and her outstanding YES painting as the background to this soap box collage.
